SECON 2019 workshop on Edge Computing for Cyber Physical Systems
Producing the final version of your paper
Final versions of accepted papers must be uploaded to EDAS for inclusion in the conference proceedings and to be submitted to IEEE Xplore®. The deadline is 17 May 2019.
IEEE/IEEE Communications Society/IEEE SECON policies
To ensure appropriate consideration of conflicts of interest during the review process, the IEEE ComSoc prohibits changes to the list of authors once a paper has been submitted for review during review, revision, or (if accepted) final publication. The author list may be changed only prior to the submission deadline.
To be published in the IEEE SECON 2019 Conference Proceedings and to be eligible for publication in the IEEE Xplore®, an author of an accepted paper is required to register to the workshop and the paper must be presented by an author of that paper at the conference unless the TPC Chair grants permission for a substitute presenter arranged in advance of the event who is qualified both to present and answer questions. Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, publication-ready version of the paper. Accepted and presented papers will be submitted to IEEE Xplore®.
Revising your Paper
Please check the reviews of your paper and follow the reviewers’ recommendations while preparing the camera ready. When you are done with the revision, please print out your paper and carefully proofread it. Review formatting requirements can be found at: https://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html
IEEE PDF eXpress
Only papers checked by IEEE PDF eXpress for IEEE Xplore compatibility are eligible to be submitted as final versions. This step can consume substantial time, so needs to be done well before the deadline.
Before checking your PDF

Registering to the Conference
The presenting author must register for the workshop before submitting the final paper. The paper must be presented by an author of the paper at the conference unless the TPC Chair grants permission for a substitute presenter arranged in advance of the event who is qualified both to present and answer questions (see also the no-shows and substitute presenter policy below).
For workshop registration, please go to https://secon2019.ieee-secon.org/registration/ and follow the instructions. After completing your registration, you will receive an email with your paper upload number. Write this number down; you will need to use it to upload your paper into EDAS.
IEEE Copyright Form
Before you upload your camera-ready paper in EDAS, you will need to submit your IEEE copyright form using the IEEE electronic copyright mechanism. To submit your copyright form digitally, please log into EDAS, click on the “My Papers” button, your paper title, the link next to “copyright form,” then “IEEE Copyright Submission.”
Submit your Paper
Your final paper must be submitted no later than 17 May 2019 in order to be included in the conference proceedings. The maximum number of pages is nine (9).
To submit your final paper, please log into EDAS, click on the “My Papers” button, your paper title, and then upload your paper (as returned by IEEE pdf eXpress) on the link provided.
If you experience any problems during the upload process of your paper on EDAS, please contact help@edas-help.com.
Policies on no-shows and substitute presenters
Each paper must be presented by an author of the paper in person at the conference. Presentations via teleconference (e.g., Skype) or pre-recorded presentations are not permitted. Permission to have the paper presented by a substitute presenter may be granted by the TPC Chairs under extraordinary circumstances. Authors with travel contingencies should consider arranging a substitute presenter. A substitute presenter must be qualified to answer questions regarding the paper. A request of a substitute presenter must be sent to the TPC Chairs no later than May 30, 2019. The TPC Chairs may approve or deny the request. A no-response by the TPC Chairs after this deadline shall be considered as denial.
A paper not presented or presented by a non-author without prior written approval by the TPC Chairs will be removed from the final conference proceedings before uploading to IEEE Xplore®. No refund will be made to authors of these papers.
